These criticisms, published in Experimental Dermatology, focus on the prevention and treatment of UV stimulated skin aging. So many devices, treatments and products, with boldness, promise to repair or fight the dangers that come with a lifespan in the sun with absolutely no evidence to support their claims, as per the comment. Moreover, these scientists spotlight light-based treatments as a field where the development of new technologies may show clever marketing ideas rather than genuine technological improvements.
A very well-known treatment of photo-aged skin involves energy emitting therapies like LEDs, intense pulsed light treatments and lasers which have been exhibited to regenerate photo-aged skin. The fame of such treatments is springing up and in the year 2006 it was approximated that around 60 million non-incursive anti-aging therapies were implemented in the US. Two industry leaders moved into this field, with L’Oreal arriving at a research and marketing accord with Light BioScience to produce anti-aging devices and P&G making an agreement with another company Syneron. Nonetheless dermatologists Serge Mordon, R Glen Calderhead and Mario Trelles question the increase of new methods and light-based treatments.
